What is it? Handed out or posted

The final exam problems and their sources This is the Sources version of the final exam. The actual
exam format was similar to the previous exams, but as students left, I
gave them a copy of this page, showing where I found the exam
problems. I thought this might be interesting. Here is information about the grading and some statistics about the grades, and additional information about course grades. 5/5/2005
Review problems for the final exam An old set of review problems for the final exam. You may recognize some of the problems. 4/28/2005
An old final exam This is the final exam I gave the last time I taught Math 403, with the same text, covering approximately the same material. I did not write answers to this exam, but you may recognize some of the questions. 4/28/2005
Answers to the second exam Here are answers to the second exam and here is information about the grading and some statistics about the grades. 4/21/2005
The second exam A version of the second exam, in a more compact format. 4/21/2005
Another old exam This exam was given at almost the same time with the same text as will this semester's second exam. Again, answers are available. 2/22/2005
Review problems for the second exam An old set of review problems appropriate for this course at this time. "Bald" answers to these problems are available, and so are detailed explanations of the answers. 4/14/2005
A workshop (?!) using the Residue Theorem to evaluate a real integral I gave this out and hoped to work on it in class. There wasn't enough time. Sigh. //2005
Answers to the first exam Here are answers to the first exam and here is information about the grading and some statistics about the grades. 3/7/2005
The first exam A version of the first exam, in a more compact format. 3/7/2005
Pictures of some partial sums of a Fourier series I handed out this sheet near the beginning of Lecture #11, on March 1. It is an effort to show that differentiation of sums, even for wellknown series, is not always successful. 3/7/2005
An old exam This exam was given at almost the same time with the same text as will this semester's first exam. Some answers are available. 2/22/2005
Review problems for the first exam An old set of review problems appropriate for this course at this time. 2/22/2005
Information sheet A form to be passed out on the first day of class. 1/17/2005
Entrance exam The purpose of this assignment is to give insight to students very early in the course about some of the methods to be used. Familiarity with all of the material tested here is necessary for success in this course. Answers are due on Thursday, January 20. 1/17/2005
I taught Math 403 several times in the past, most recently in the spring 2002 semester. Below are links to three course webpages. Each has, in turn, links to such materials as exams with answers, etc. The textbook for the oldest two instantiations of the course was different, and the syllabus was also somewhat different.
