General Information
This course deals with several special topics in geometry. Prior
exposure to geometry through a course at the level of 435 is useful
but not absolutely necessary.

Required: CALC3 and 01:640:250.

Description
In this second course on geometry we will consider several
important problems, including

Axioms of geometry: from Euclid to Hilbert;

Regular (platonic) solids;

Geometrical constructions with compass and ruler, including
Gauss'construction of the regular 17gon;

NonEuclidean geometries;

Multidimensional geometry.
